I have been finishing a game as england and was hoping to convert to eu4 when done. I started this game January.
At that time (if memory serves) the answer to this question in the FAQ thread read "It should be unless there are problems on the Paradox side."

Although i'm not to 1444 ish yet I decide to run the conversation to see what happened
Only mainland europe kept its borders (the rest of the map was base eu4) - most of the countries names were replaced with the letter z followed by a number - Chalcedonian religion was replaced with syncretic religion

I do not know which version of CK2+ im playing with. All I know is that it is stamped as beta in the menu (a bad omen?) and the checksum is KYCO (in menu) and in the .mod file it says "supported_checksums = { RWUL }"

My question (hope may be a better term) is it possible to fix this so that I can continue my game or am I boned

addendum:

Steam is set to ke the product up to date so it is running the latest patch - this may be the issue but I hadn't seen any bugs or crashes otherwise so far.
What gave version would your recommend I rollback to?

See the main download thread. One of my last posts.

Keep in mind that not only CK2+ is updating, but also EU4. Using an old version of the converter not meant for that version of EU4 will also not work. At best you could grab the newest EU4C by itself for CK2+ and put it into your older version of +, but likely it wouldn't work anyways.

BONUS: I too always get that issue with the Z names, it's one Paradox never bothered to fix and is independent of us (I've reported it for years). Best I ever figured out is that it's a system locale issue.

so my only realistic option is to start a new game then

Unless you can figure out which version of EU4 goes with what version of CK2+ by downgrading your EU4, yeah.
