It is outdated and I don't think it works with the current game version. And using another mod together with extended timeline is not a good idea, because it is incompatible with most other mods unless they have been made compatible with it.

The first one advertises itself to be for game version 1.27 and the second one for 1.10.1. I tried the second one, because it is newer and says that the version of the mod is 1.32, but it is also broken.
In general if a mod crashes the game, it is almost always a bug in the mod or an incompatibility between mods and it is best to contact the mod author about it. If they determine that there is a bug in eu4, they can make a bugreport with the information where exactly the bug is.
