EUII Multiplayer
EUII Multiplayer NOTES!
If you have a 56k modem you can play multiplayer including valkrynet.
If you have a slower, older computer you can expect the online game to be a bit slower. However it is still playable as long as you have a stable computer.
Before you jump into an online game, make sure you end all programs running in the background or as many programs as you can. All you need to run in the background to play is explorer. By doing this you greatly increase your computers ability to remain stable through an online game.
The faster or most stable computer should host, if host crashes everyone crashes so have the best of the bunch host. Also if a slower computer hosts it could make faster computers slow as well. Run games at fairly slow speeds of 2mo/1min or if need be 1/1. However you can have successful games at 4mo/1min if you follow my suggestions.
The kicker is that online games are by nature, unstable. So you can expect the hickup or two causing crashes. So make sure you save often (yearly) and make sure your computer is stable before going into an online game. You may have to reboot or refresh your desktop before launching the game, if in doubt do it anyways.
more suggestions to come....
Creation of Multiplayer Clans, NOTES ON CLANS (Also... see the CLANBASE subforum. ~Blade!)
Feel free to join with other players to form a multiplayer team. You will use this team in games against other clans, future EU multiplayer tournements and special events. Just post the thread of your clan and invite others to join, i will sticky your Clan home thread so all know your clan is available for challenge. Coordinate with clan leaders from there. Clans are groups of people who either like to play online together or like to extend the drama of the game to the forum boards.
Clan members can have a chief and a way of doing things, they can also have in house disputes just so long as the fight is taken to the online game. The Roman clan doesnt have to play italian nations, nor does the spanish clan have to play spanish kingdoms. Play anything you want but picture the clan as a team or bond between players to interact with other teams of players. You will see it all come together as you join and the clans take shape. So jump in and help the Clans grow.
Enjoy!
