euiv - incompatible saves; can't use launcher

have been loading games thru steam but after a few sessions get incompatible message when loading games

i have version 1.35 and linked steam and paradox accounts.

tried to load new game thru paradox launcher v2, can enter launcher and get code but can't locate option to load game

If those are saves from 1.34.x you need to revert to that version in the Steam Betas tab. You don't need any code to do that.

thanks for the quick response, but they were saves in 1.35

Then they really shouldn't be showing as incompatible. Attach an affected one here please.

Which message do you get? Do you get the following message or something else?

Old Savegame
The loaded savegame $NAME$ is from a different version of EU4.

This can cause problems in the game and can potentially ruin Ironman saves.
Games with Random New World are especially fragile.

Saving again, closing the game and reloading may help.

Are those saves from version 1.35.0 or 1.35.1? It is normal that you get the above warning about the wrong version if you load a 1.35.0 save in version 1.35.1. They should be fully compatible though, so I would recommend that you create a copy of your save with a different name and then try to load that copy despite the warning. If the small 1.35.1 update was the only reason for the warning, the saves should still work, because the update didn't change anything which could break saves. If it doesn't work, you can return to version 1.35.0 in the betas tab of the eu4 properties in steam and load your game with that version(again I would recommend to try it with a copy so that you don't ruin your original save in case it doesn't work).
