TLDR: Ship models change into standard sprites when in port

So recently, I was in the mood to play EUIV again after a long while of staying away from the game and decided to play as a Daimyo, but I noticed something odd. When ships are in port their models revert to the western standard units, but as long as they are at sea, they revert back to the DLC sprites. I tested it with other ship DLC as well and got the same results (see screenshots). I re-installed the game, uninstalled all my mods, etc. but I wasn't able to fix it, so I'm pretty confident it's not on my end.

I know it's nothing game breaking, it just rlly annoys me and takes me out of it a lil. Is this a known issue? Any ideas on how to fix it would be most appreciated.

Does this happen in a new test campaign which NO mods have ever been used with? Because uninstalling mods does not remove effects they have already had on a save game file.

I think this is a bug in the current version. I have seen several posts about this. IIRC I have also seen a bugreport about it, but I'm not 100% sure. You can search through the bugreports forum to see if it has already been reported. If it has not been reported yet, you can make a new bugreport about it.

Disclaimer: I'm not working for Paradox. I'm just trying to help people.

@AndrewT
Yes, it was a fresh campaign. I first deleted all the mods, then uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it. Then I started a new campaign to check if the bug still occurred and that's where the screenshots are from.

Thank you for the response. You were correct, other people have encountered the same issue with the current patch of the game and made bug reports. There also seem to be several sea provinces where ship sprites switch.
