I've a hankering for a good old EU2 game.

Thus, this campaign shall be a stab at a bit of the old glory days.

Time: Sundays, 16-18 GMT start To be decided by popular vote, game time 4-6 hours. I could do 6 myself, but realize that most will want to settle for 4. We'll have something as unusual as a plebicite about it.

Campaign: To be decided. I would probably suggest a 1492 start as the 1419s seldom worked out well IIRC.

Confirmed Players thus far:
-----------------------------
Slargos
Somedude
PJL
Hive
Ampoliros
Ulschmidt

Willing and interested Subs:
-------------------------------
FAL
Fredrik
Martmol

Potential players pending performance parsing
--------------------------------------------------
Seen - Router issues.
Bauer (Languish) - Unconfirmed as yet.

This thread will pretty much be a mirror of the main thread over at languish for different reasons and I encourage anyone who's going to play to sign up an account at Languish:

Beware though, there be monsters there.

We need at least 7-9 players and we need to find someone able to host. I haven't tried hosting from my current location and since it's behind a router I am unsure what the results would be.

Hopefully someone else can host, but I'm sure we'll figure it out somehow.

No 6 hours for me. 4 hours sounds reasonable. Also, I can only play if we use Hamachi, due to router issues.

1492 or 1520 start would be preferable.

what are the countries to be covered first?

my vote for PE's 1492. Also my vote for 5 hours per session.

any random leaders? or any concession like cores/culture rules?

i could sub sometimes if you want, i have to work on sunday once every 2 weeks so i cant join:(

The usual suspects.

We're running a tally over at Languish and it's the thread there that will be most frequently updated I suspect.

Write up your three first preferences and we'll try to accomodate everyone to the best possible solution.

England, Austria, France, Spain, Russia, OE will be first tier priority.
Portugal, Brandenburg, Sweden, Venice second tier.

We're just in the production phase still, so there's been no decision on leaders and cores.

IIRC, random leaders was a bit of work to deal with.

We could decide about these minor matters after the first session, or we'll surely miss this sunday. scenario, times, some rules and the final roster would be enough for an entertaining first session. brrr bureaucracy makes me tremble

Realistically, I doubt we'll get off the ground before January.

A lot of people will regardless be missing over the holidays so it may not be a point starting just yet anyway.

link doesn't work

Slargos forgot to add that you have to sign up on that board in order to view anything.

Regardless, the thread there isn't more interested than the one here. It's just that some people there don't post here anymore, and Slargos wants to get "the best of both worlds".

If it starts in January at a sunday, I'll probably hop on as well. Can't miss the opportunity to play with Hive and Slargos, can I?

Though I would pay a fortune if the game would be in EU3 instead ;)

No fortune is great enough for me to play that cluster of a f**k again before the 9th patch. :p
