I don't suppose there's an event guide for CK, like Havard's event guide for EU2 anywhere? I see the event effects.txt file in the game directory, and had a look around the forum and the CK Wiki site, but haven't found anything...

Anyway, what I'd like to do (and maybe someone could help me) is just create a simple event that I can invoke from the console that lets me change my capital. Is that possible?

Such an event is not possible

EDIT

The position of you capital is determined by different factors

1. You primary title
2. The culture of a province vs the culture of a ruler
3. The religion of a province vs the religion of the ruler
4. The richness of a province

Oh well. :( Thanks. :)

I guess I can just change it in the saved game file.

That won't work, each time you reload the game the position of the capital is recalculated

Ugh! That's annoying. :( Is that soemthing new? I remember being able to change my capital before like that, but I wasn't using the latest patch back then...

There have been some changes in the field in patch 1.05

Why do you want to change your capital ? if you don't like that province that its in, just give it away

Well in the game I'm playing (Naples), I've got Sicily as my personal demense. Everything else is held by vassals. I keep Malta around as a country to give to the son I want to inherit.

Anyway, I'd like my captial to be Palermo or Syracuse, instead of Trampini (or whatever it's called).

I guess it's not a big deal.

Your capital is probably in Trapani because you must have Catholocised it at some point. In the period of the 1066 scenario Sicily was a mixture of Arabs and Greeks of both Orthodox and Muslim faiths (not quite the clear cut line shown in the game but the culture system can't represent the 'melting pot' of the Sicilian culture at the time)

Anyway, I'm assuming you're playing as one of the Hautevilles yes? You're a Catholic and will prefer a Catholic capital, Palermu starts out Muslim-Arab so you have to vassalise every province that is Catholic until you're just left with Orthodox and Muslim ones, Palermu will usually be chosen then, seems it's the richest/most developed province on the island to start with.

Yeah. In one game I edited the island to be occitan (not exactly accurate either) just to make the area a bit different. It really ought to have its own culture, but I'm biased since that is where my family is from. :) Guess that's why I love having Sicily. Probably 1/2 of my CK games involve that area in some way.
