Hello everyone....is there a way to shut off scripted historical events? Is this possible in conjunction with DDAIM? It's been about a year since I've played this game, and I don't know if I'm confusing my play with EU2 (which IIRC has a switch to turn off historical events), or if I went and manually turned off events in something like a .eug file in HOI2....I've been running some games as Honduras with DDAIM, with major changes to who the axis, allies, and commitern are (similar to what was mentioned in a previous post), and things have worked well (perhaps because these labels mostly seem to affect only point totals)....also, in the couple of games I've run, things have happened fairly historically, not that I'm necessarily expecting complete ahistorical results, but, historical events have happened right on schedule, and I'd prefer a game that is more reliant on cause-and-effect than following history.... :)

Thanks,

Jeff

You'll find all events in a reasonably readable form in /db/events/. There you can change or delete them at will. If it were only about a few events, you could also enter their ID in the "history = {" section of the .eug files (both for scenarios files and savegames). The engine will treat them as already happened then.

As usual with modding, making backups first is recommended. ;)
