Since yesterday, I have the following problem:

I have about 15 savegames, and everytime I want to load one of these, it crashes (..windows message..)
Loading a new scenario works, and if I save a new one, I can reload this one, but not the old ones
(some of them from yesterday).

I modded a lot since three year (HOI1 to HOI2) and never had problems.
But I didn't made any changes the last weeks, so till yesterday everything works fine.
I also didn't made any changes on any programm.

I can send a savegame, but I tink it doesn't make any sense because of the modded files.
Maybe I can send the error message from windows, but it's a long file

Any ideas?

Well (but I guess you knew this already), we cannot possibly support problems involving mods. Too many unknown variables that cannot be reproduced on the vanilla systems we use to test and validate.

Maybe you could post the most significant portion of the Windows error. That may shed some light on the issue. (error code, error module, that sort of thing)

OK, will do that.

But I'm sure that it hasn't to do anything with my modding, because I never had any (or at least no unsolvable) problems since HOI1 came out.
and I didn't made any changings the last days......that's really strange.

Will send the file later on.
If this doesn't bring any solutions, maybe I try to overinstall the game and copy the savegames in and try again.

Ok. Keep us posted.

Damned !!!!

Again I started a game, played for about 6 hours, saved 20 times and wanted to load a savegame the next day........ctd with failure protocol.

I never can load a savegame...that really sucks !!!!
I can't save and copy the real long protocol, the only thing I found was this:

We do not support user made mods.

Completely wipe the game and all copies from your system.
Then do a fresh install, then apply the latest official patch.

If you then have a problem loading saves post back here.

Problem solved.

There was accidental a too high model number of the HQ (it was 3 not 2) in the Kampfgruppe doctrine, so every time, when Germany or an other country developes this doctrine, in the save game, the newest HQ number was lvl 3 and lvl 2 was scrapped........instead of new lvl 2 and lvl 1 was scrapped.

I found it out, that the crash was every savegame after "18th dec 41", so I tried to find the exact date, when a savegame loads, and when it crashes.
So I tried to go into different countries an looked on the latest date what happens on this date and this was the development of the kampfgruppe doctrine, and there I saw the message "HQ model "unknown string wanted".......that's it.

So I'm really happy now. Nevertheless, thanx for the quick response :p

Again that relates to your modding and not Paradox code.
But glad you solved your problem.
