So, any plans to include my unit mod in the next C.O.R.E. update?

IIRC it changes some sprites and three of the tech files, so I think Copper Nicus will have to look at how it fits with techmod. Then it's the models.csv of course and also 8 unit files.

I already used models.csv files from Exel when he posted it for the first time here. The problem is that thanks to huge changes in tank and naval branches whole units numeration has been changed, so some parts of the tree are not usefull anymore.
Current version of models file in 0.28 techmod compilation uses air units from Exel mod, and some mixed parts of original CORE models (Desserteur file), Exel and MkSheppard's work and some my own additions.
What's more, few days ago I recieved very good file with models already formated for the techmod fro Pkunzipper. Some many volunteers, so hard to decide... :D
I'm going to mix files from all designers, so probably all of them would be unhappy that their work is not complete. ;)

Yeah, a good way to piss us all off. :p

No but seriously, we - Deserteur, Pkunzipper and me - have worked together with the models.csv files. We even planned to make one joint version, but because of some differences in our approaches we stuck with our individual works.

However, if the C.O.R.E. tech tree requires a different kind of models file, I am ready to do that anytime.

Here's a complete list of all changed files:

..\config\models.csv
..\db\tech\artillery_tech.txt
..\db\tech\infantry_tech.txt
..\db\tech\land_doctrine_tech.txt
..\db\units\infantry.txt
..\db\units\marine.txt
..\db\units\paratrooper.txt
..\db\units\bergsjaeger.txt
..\db\units\mechanized.txt
..\db\units\motorized.txt
..\db\units\fighter.txt
..\db\units\carrier.txt (this can be ignored for now)

And then there are the sprite reference files and a few bmp files.

Ok, I'll remember about that. :D
For now models file works - but it surely could be made better. In 0.3 we will probably add models from current version of the techmod, but later it could be improved. In the next (and the last) alpha release of the techmod I will add text file with the list of all models of the tanks in game for the reference, as well as a table with their stats.
List of the air units has not changed (some post war models added, but nothing was removed), but the naval tree has changed a lot, so probably the next thing to do is the list of the naval units.

Okay. If and when you need help making those model list, just hand me over a list of the units you need model names for. :)

However I wont be much of a help with naval stuff - don't know pretty much anything about them. :p

As far as I recon air units are your speciality? :D Your mod makes serious part of models.csv files of the next CORE version.

I'm still dreaming about seriously revisited file, with all main parts (air, land, sea) designed by specialists on those fields... No offence, but right now most of the people are self-proclaimed panzer experts. ;)
