This small feature did not work at first, but is fixed now.
What it means is that you can click on the Facebook button at the top to connect this account with your facebook account. You can then click on the "Like" button if you read an article or thread that you like, and your friends on facebook will see the link and might read it too.
We have done some testing with this and if you have a friend on facebook who have pressed like on something, you will see the name of the person: "John Doe and 133 other people like this" If you do not have any of them as friends on facebook however, it will just say: "144 people like this, be the first one of your friends".
So, you will not reveal your real name to anyone here that you do not already have as a friend on facebook. If you "like" something on the forum though, you might reveal to your facebook friends that you hang out here. They will not see your forum user name though.
It's a small, fun feature that was added automatically with the new version of the forum software, and it is of course completely voluntary to use it.
