Fall of the government

I made a test and I'd like to know if I'm right.

When the government fall :

-All wars immediatly end

-All provinces controled by ennemy countries are given to these countries without peace treaty

-The same with provinces currently controlled by "nationalists" which form new countries

-The revoltees are transformed in regular troops

Am I right?

Are there other consequences I didn't notice?

Also, can a province become independant if the government doesn't
fall first?

Laurent, your list looks quite good if it's your enemy who's governent falls..

Does anyone know in what circumstances a goverment is going to fall? How can I help an enemy gov to collapse?

Hmm, only reason I know for goverment falling is that rebels take the capital of the country.

Falling Govt

Actually I've had an enemy government fall when I took their capital. I was planning on annexing a few provinces but was still at war and didn't want to deal with the revolts so I parked a force in their capital and went to deal with some other things. The government fell and gave me the two provinces I has taken (but not the capital). Hey, I wonder if my BB went up for that?

Don't know in what circumstances the gov. falls. I changed my state religion then set the tolerance for religions existing in my country on 0. Soon , I had revolts everywhere and then all my neighbors declared war and invaded my country. So, I don't really know what exactly caused the fall of the government.

well,the gov might fall if a big number of his provinces are revolting or he's refusing an forced(enemy offered 4 stars less peace treaty than he can).This happened to me

I read also on the boards that the gov. can fall if the ennemy occupy a lot of territory for a long time...true?

Well, they will be hit by wartiredness and thus the revolt risk will increase quite a bit.

Oh boy did this happen to me. With a BB of 192, even my fanatical (and quite substantial) armies were worn down in the end, but after some experimentation I found that it's a good way to get out of a long war like that. You don't have to put down ANY rebellions afterwards, the tendency of multiple AIs to go to war with you is stopped, and as long as you control one province in each annexed area they all stay within your empire I couldn't believe my luck!
