Missed this so bleated congratulations to @Wraith11B who is as modest as he is busy.

On time congrats to @TheExecuter , I remain impressed he has the time to fan in between such prodigious writing.

Congratulations @TheExecuter! Hasn't won since 2011?? Yeah, that's not right. Even accepting that you were gone for a while during that period in between, as was I and several of the rest of us -- you're a great fan and definitely overdue for recognition!

Please tell us a little about what you're reading these days!

He's more a writer but offers great commentary as well. How about @TheExecuter ?

Eh? What?

Oh...

Thanks! This is a surprise...

Thanks!

Congrats to @TheExecuter . He is certainly overdue for this recognition. When he comments, the comments are usually quite thoughtful.

I'm not sure I entirely agree with this assessment. ;)

I often only make small and brief comments on parts of a story that strike me.

I consider my 'thoughtful' comments to be more 'rant like' when something really strikes a chord or deserves some deeper explanation. I feel like only about 10% of my comments reach this level of actual deep thought on my part.

Still, I should accept the view of others...as it is less biased than my own, especially on the topic of my own performance / behavior.

So...thanks!

I shall endeavor to keep up the high standards of comments.

@TheExecuter is indeed a great fan. Congratulations!

Coming from another great fan, this praise is gratefully accepted.

I do my fan reading during breaks in life...mostly when taking the equivalent of a smoke break at work...and when I have spare moments when parenting is not immediately required. Being a fast reader helps this immensely.

I found within the last year that cutting back on wasteful scrolling media time and on some gaming time has freed up a lot of time for writing and such activities.

Thanks for the congratulation!

Congratulations, @TheExecuter!

Thanks!

Thanks and long time no see! It is good to see you still around. :)

I will probably be the first to say it probably is right. Once I got married, I had much less time on these forums to be reading and commenting. I have really only returned in earnest since the second half of last year. Before that I was distracted with a great many other things.

I usually binge read a single work, while maintaining tabs on ongoing stories.

Current binge:
American Caesar: An United States AAR in Kaiserreich

Reading as the updates come in:
Muddling Through as the UK in HOI2
The Wars of the Roses
Shining Stars - A United States Coming of Age Saga

Need to catch up on as I stalled out on my binge...
Die Wacht Im Raum - A Kaiserreich Stellaris AAR

Unfortunately, that's the full list. I'm basically cutting short writing time tonight on Last Mission to answer all this congratulations on reading fandom!

I think once that massive Opus is finished, I will have some time to read at greater capacity while I think about what might be the next story.

Thanks for the praise!

Lol, that explains why I have been seeing you so much. I am reading or have read all of those.

Thanks for bringing Wars of the Roses back. When you started it the first time I was really excited for it...so when I saw you had fully committed, I had to binge it. It's been really good...and I've greatly enjoyed the depictions of the many and varied characters. Your skill with fleshing out 'minor' characters is really fun to read. The character arcs of Henry VI, Henry Beaufort (Duke of Somerset), Margaret Beaufort, etc. are brilliantly portrayed and fascinating characters in their own right...and none are really the center stage characters like the current House of York, Warwick, and Margaret of Anjou...

Part of me wants to know your secrets to fleshing out a story like this with dozens of characters that must not be cardboard cutouts but have real depth.

Anyway, aside from my gushing fanboy-ing...

Thanks for the praise and your writing.

I think its been a week...and my reading list has shrunk a bit lately as spring / kids school / real life has taken a hand...but, I think I have a valid potential fan.

Congratulations @Sanvone .

I've seen you hanging around Shining Stars, and your comments there were very helpful...especially since they were about topics near and dear to my heart...the details of how the economy works in Victoria-2. Well done, and do keep sharing such helpful and stimulating comments.

It's stuff like this that is prodding me to do a 'How to keep the peasants from revolting' story AAR after Last Mission and Insanely Stronk end...

Congratulations to @Sanvone . I am plowing may way slowly through his economic gameplay opus Siberian Prosperity now, but as usual, I am far behind the current action. (Just one of a handful of longer pieces I am attempting to read from the start. One of these days I will get to the work of @coz1 too.) Well done, Sanvone.

Congratulations @Sanvone! I've read a bit of your Siberian AAR, but am also very far behind. Your discussions of strategy in it and elsewhere are always insightful.

Your comments are always welcome and educational!

And Siberian Prosperity is awesome, though I admit to also being quite behind in reading it.

I have found that for some reason, I just can't get into CK AARs or the game itself. Same with EU for that matter. Vicky/Ricky and Vicky 2 and 3 as well as the HOIs I find very interesting if the stories are good. Stellaris seems a mixed bag. Some good, some not. JMO, YMMV
