1, Reformed
2, Inca - LOTS of gold
3, ??
4, yes, wait for the others

1. Depends, reformed countries get a bonus to army morale and reduced tech costs. Catholics get extra diplomats and Counter-reform Catholics get a free CB against all Protestant countires.

2. Spain. You can annex the Aztecs and the Incas with all their gold, plus you won´t have the Incas lousy exotic tech group. You´re techs´ll start higher than everyone else´s, you´ll have a permanent CB on everyone and their brother, and your monarchs and leaders will be good (especially early in the game).

3. Centers of Trade on where you send your merchants to make money. They´re essentially pre-assigned in Europe and none of them will move. The only new CoTs you get in Europe are Anglia and Holland. The money you make out of every CoT is decided by the wealth of the CoT (shown in big white numbers next to the name in the Merchant map-view), your trade tech level (the higher your level, the more money each merchant makes), and the level of competition in the CoT (i.e. you can make tons of money in a poor CoT if you´re the only one who competes in it). Outside Europe, several are preassigned (Delhi, Edo, etc.) and new ones form when Europeans start to colonize. Certain colonies are more likely than others to become CoTs (Jamacia and Table are two good ones) as well as any place colonized by the Netherlands.

4. You can edit the save files.

P.S. Welcome to the forums.

Edit--Whoops. I forgot you were asking about Fantasia. The above advice is for the Grand Campaign, which hopefully you´ll play at some point.

Whoa Zucker's in the EUI forum :p

Anyway--the others have basically answered your questions, but I'd just like to point out the leader editor, which is a very nifty tool that--who'd've thought--edits leaders. You can d/l it through that link there.

no, just the historical ones

Aren't all generic leaders the same but with DP sliders affecting their abilities regardless of culture? ie. 2/2/2/0 normally but with slider modifications.

If so you can't edit default leaders ..

I thought there werent any DP sliders in EUI.

*Walks of to search but never returns, is later found drowned in the indus*

Sorry, I thought this was the EU2 forum

*Grabs coat and runs away before being lynched by angry EU1 fans*

*runs after dsk with a torch*

Anyway--I know there's probably a way to edit the generic leaders, after all, Venice and some others have siege bonuses and such, and unless that's hardcoded if you could find where that info is you could edit as you please. :)

=

LOTS of inflation, I try to avoid gold whenever I can.
(Unless you are skilled at writing event 49 :D )

Definitely. That much gold is only good when you have at least as many non-gold provinces to even it out. Although it is a great asset if you're a large nation already.

Which you aren't in Fantasia.

I actually find Catalunya (or whatever it is) easiest. Theyve got all of France and Spain at their doorstep. And these two countries, unlike say Ukraine or Incans, are moderate in climate. Not much snow, not many deserts, so easier to settle and move through. You also do not have to use the navy untill you feel like it because there is so much land to expand in, whereas in Ireland you have to ship out fast.

Yep. You can change your TAG by moving around descriptions and flags :D

Or just change nation .. but else - default leaders are hardcoded and linked to TAG.
