Would anybody be interested in a fantasy scenario? I'm working on one now.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The current version can be downloaded here .

You need ZipGenius (www.zipgenius.it). to unzip the files.

This is compatible with the 1066 bugfix v4.

If anyone wants to help, I would really appreciate it. The most pressing work at the moment is extending family trees. If you can't code, then I would also appreciate it if you could post comments and suggestions.

If you would like to help, say what you would like to do and I'll tell you everything you need to know. Or, you could just code it and post it here and I will put it in the scenario. :D

The main areas I need help with are (in priority order):
-Filling in the rest of HRE.
-Extending family trees, especially flandernson, ap Grunwydd and Estridson
-Ideas for spain
-Filling in other areas.

First demonstration release

You can download it here .

This is just a demonstration and you can't really play it properly. If you walk into an empty province, the game will CTD. To install it place the dynasties file into your db folder and the other files into your scenario folder. If anybody has comments, suggestions or would like to help, please post here.

A new version should be up by tonight.

I need help. Whenever I start my new version, it pauses on Initialiasing script forever. From the last working version, I made three changes:

-Removed bastard trait from a saint
-Put two characters in their proper home court
-Made a king a liege of a kingdom

The error then occured. I removed the liege thing, but chnaged a family tree at the same time. I can send somebody the current files if they want to look at it.

Getting stuck in Initializing Script is quite odd, as I've never seen something like that when I have modded CK.

EDIT: Although I guess it's not something in scenario files, as the game can properly read them. At least not something that game can understand or misspellings.

I have the same problem in a mod that I'm working on, so if I figure it out I'll pipe up here...

I've never seen this error before either. At the moment, I'll just say this mod is suspended unless somebody wants me to e-mail them the current files.

Check that each " is followed by another ", so if you have character named "Whatever" you have " at beginning and end, because missing a " is the most likely cause for freezing during "Reading Scenario".

It's still won't work and there are no unmatched quotes. In the bug reports forum, there was a thread about it crashing at this time loading a savegame.

Version 0.0.2

New release

Downloadable here

Now has a completely filled-up britain.

The bug was that I had lots of countys listed as duchies. Sorry for bothering anyone.

Version 0.0.2B

The newest release. Can be downloaded here

More of northen france filled in and a couple of minor changes.

The next version will hopefully have a Kingdom of Lower France, so you will need to make changes to world names.

I would really like some feedback.

Would you care to reveal your masterplan of this a bit? I am doing one sort of semi-historical fantasy scen myself for more interesting SP games, with the purpose to have all claimable kingdoms at least 10 provs in size and those humongous kingdoms (France, Germany, Byzantium and Rus) broken down in size by moving provs from kingdom to other and adding some new kingdoms here and there.

Also, I guess people would be more interested if they would know what to except in the final version as it's often little hard to give feedback when only a small part of the world is done.

Ok. I don't have a huge comprehensive master plan yet.

Denmark is meant to be a coloniser. Its first king united the scandinavians and sent out armies to invade coastal areas. However, his three sons split his empire up between them, causing the empire to break down. Halfdan "the Ironarmed" was determined to restore the empire and conquered some of the old lands.

England was once a Danish colony but broke free of their control through the first atheling Edgar. They own exactly the same land as they own at the moment in my mod.

Ireland I'm thinking of having split up between the standard duchies in the north and a very weak King of Ireland in the south.

France has been split up between France, Lower France and the three Danish duchies, Picardy, Flanders and Bordeaux. France is Carolingian, as will be the HRE. However, the south of France (Lower France) broke away under the de Poitou dynasty. This dynasty will also own parts of italy.

Spain will probbaly be split up between soemthing like 6 kingdoms and 5 other duchies. There will be no muslims.

Norway and sweden will be separated. Both are weak. Sweden has just been in a civil war but owns finnish colonies.

Byzantium should be between a rock and a hard place. Georgia and Cilicia should be major powers in the east, with a couple of balkan powers in the west.

I was thinking of having a King of Lithuania fighting other russian powers.

Sorry it is short. I haven't thought about most of them much yet. I tend to make them up whenever I have a spare moment. Any of it is open to any change.

At the moment I am not changing province.csv claimable duchies and kingdoms, as I want this to be compatible with the standard game.

Hopefully soon v0.1 will come out. If anyone wants to help, I would be very happy.

Version 0.0.4

New version. Downlaod here .

This release includes a filled in France and an enhanced de Poitou family tree. Next release will probably contain mostly family trees adjustments and a few more counties put in.

I know soem people want to look at what the map should look like when finished, so here it is:

fantasyplan.jpg

Sorry for the bad quality. Any of this is changable, it just maps out what I have thought of so far.

I will be away tomorrow and I haven't had time to do anything today so the next release will probably be late Tuesday at the earliest. Sorry.

Version 0.0.5 and a plea for help

Version 0.0.5 is out. The pope has been removed so that I don't have the papal controller to deal with. Download it here.

And the plea for help part. Basically, this is too much for one person to handle. I would really like someone to help me. If you want to help, just post your email here and say what sort of thing you want to do. I'll tell you what you need to know.

I would also like comments, even if they are "I think this is complete and utter crap" (although I'd prefer not to get this type...)

In the end, if nobody cares, it will probably be abandoned.
