Fatal error CK/DV 2.1b

Fresh install,no save games.
Windows XP home SP2
1gb ram,CPU at 2.4ghz,ATI Radeon 9250 at 256mb.Latest drivers,Net frame 2.0

Ck 1.05 worked fine.When I bought DV I uninstalled CK and reinstalled this order;CK,DV,DV2.1b.
When trying to begin a new game I got a fatal error message.
