Fatal Error in 1.05

Hi there, playing CK v.1.05. I just got the patch (1.05) and now, after I skip/watch the opening videos, a box appears which reads:

--- Fatal Error: Could not initialize Video!
  ---
Do you still want to continue?

Anyone know why this is, or more importantly how it can be fixed?

Try rename the video folder from 'avi' to 'not_avi' or any other name

This removed the videos but the same box popped up reading "Fatal Error". Any other ideas?

I could only find this in some of the older threads, step 1 and 2 you have already tried

Okay let's try some standard things.
1) Make sure you have the latest patch for the game.
2) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
3) Set the color depth to 16BIT
4) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
5) Run a Virus check and a Adware/Spybot checker
6) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-4.

The other option is to do a complete reinstallation and see if that works.

I changed my colour depth to 16bit and it worked! Thank you so much, now I can enjoy CK again.
