Also posted this on the EU discord, but thought it might also fit here on the forum.
Would it be possible to make mapmodes as customizable as in EU4? Currently, from the videos I've seen of the game map modes look a lot like Victoria 3, however I think the way they were implemented in EU4 was a lot better as it was not as intrusive. It seems that currently they take up a lot of screen space and are harder to navigate, whereas in EU4 you could setup the map modes you use once, and then they would be easy to switch between with keybinds until you did a clean reinstall of the game. The Vicky 3 aproach makes it a lot harder, at least for me, to navigate between the map modes I want to use. Even with many hours on the game I still find my self cycling through the different mapmode options in Vicky 3, while in EU4 it is simply muscle memory due to me being able to set up my own keybinds. This also makes the case for making the map mode opening button thingy smaller or less intrusive at the side, since it won't be needed as often.
Even if moving the map modes to the side above the minimap is not an option, I hope at least it will be possible to assign your own keybinds to map modes like in EU4 for easy switching.
Really looking forward to the game, it looks really promising so far!
