OK, I'm now playing CORE which is a bit too easy(AI is harder than in vanilla but nothing like TRP or WIF mods - still have to see if the SOV AI is as good as in DAIM).
Anyway, I have a few issues to mention which seem to apply to all hoi2 games, not justthe CORE mod. For example, if I ally myself with Yugoslavia, it becomes neutral at the start of war with Poland and leaves the Axis, but also then greys out the "declare war" button so that I can't declare war on that country. My solution was to force Yugoslavia back into the Axis. In history, Yugoslavia was about to become part of the Axis before the people turned against the king and then Germany invaded.
Then there's the Iraqi rebellion against the British - bizarrely, Syria and Lebanon join the Axis(perhaps because Turkey is Axis in my game?) but Iraq which has revolted against the Uk just becomes neutral. Since the Iraqi rebels deliberately sought out German help at the time in actual history, there should at least be an event asking the Germans to donate aid for a full Axis alliance.
