About the new name.

So,

I posted notices about the poll in other Forums.

We have already 17 votes (but 70 views?).

I think that I'll make it first one to ten votes, unless there's a name on 9 votes, in which case we'll run it like tennis and squash - you gotta win by two points.

But, if we are stalled at a neck-or-neck situation, we can have another poll ... he he, only joking. I'll call it at that point.

That means that I bought Diplomacy and have registered my copy on the Forum.

Aha, I was just going to ask the same. Good deal, I should buy Diplomacy I heard it is good for multiplayer. The only game of paradox i still have the box for is two thrones and that is pretty much worth it's weight in cabbage husks. I think instaled and looked around.

========================
People from everywhere are voting on this poll here and they are likely do not know what the choices mean
===============================

An Interregnum is a period between monarchs, between popes of the Roman Catholic Church, emperors of Holy Roman Empire, polish kings (elective monarchy) or between consuls of the Roman Republic. It can also refer to the period between the pastorates of ministers in some Protestant churches, or generally, any gap in the continuity of a government, organization, or social order.

Insolitus : (latin) unaccustomed / unusual, strange, uncommon

Interregnum

This latin word has come to mean that which tarakan posted above.

However, it could also be translated in other ways.

Inter means among, as well as the sense of 'in between' being used for periods between monarchs.

Regnum, obviously, kings.

The reason I have voted for Interregnum, is that it can mean 'among kings', an apt term for describing the multiplayer focus of this mod. In a sense, it becomes the latin for 'multiplayer'. ;)

In the spirit of Aberration we indeed can decide what the was "Is" is. So in that spirit we can choose the historical meaning among many. Records of ages past are sparce at best. And all this happened before the printing press :)

Regnum means "rule, authority, Kingdom, Realm." in Latin.

Still pretty good..

"Among" + "Kingdoms/Realms"

Multiplayer. I like this interpretation

So it's odds on favourite Interregnum, getting 10 votes in a flyer past Newie Order and Insolent Boy in the Naming Stakes.

I didn't vote for it, but I like it. Now we wait for MattyG to be tested for doping....

I feel the poll ought to be open for a couple more days. It's only been up for 36 hours. Some people don't log on all that often.

ie: polling stations have not yet closed in some time zones ... :)

It looks very close between the first three now, though Interregnum clearly won on the 'first to 10' system. Any word from BiB? If so, did it have two or three letters? :D

Slightly Off Topic: It reminds me of the american stand on democracy in middle east. Anyone can win the free election as long as it is our supported candidate. Not that I'm calling anyone Uncle here.

Six letters. I-G-N-O-R-E

The Archduke does not want to see another poll.

Of those who voted for Insolitus or World of Change, which of Interregnum/NewWorld Order is preferred?

Goodie.
