Literally Sweden-Finland Match in Athletics is in Swedish Finnkampen and in Finnish Ruotsi-ottelu. Usually the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games stadion (Stockholms stadion) and the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Stadium (Helsingin Olympiastadion) have hosted the traditional games in athletics.

No country disclaimed the Swedish existence neither its independence after the heavy defeats in the Great Northern War. Sweden choose wisely in its aim to stay away and being a neutral country in the European conflicts - the last major war with Sweden participating was the Finnish War of 1808-1809. Sweden lost Finland to Russia and the era of the Swedish stormakstiden came to an end.

The Stockholm Olympic Stadion was built during 1910-1912. To host the Summer Olympic Games of 1912 Stockholm Stadion was the main arena for the athletics. 1912 Stockholm Games are considered as the last 'good old time' Games in the Olympics, but also the first one to present the modern era just before the WWI.

Helsingin Olympiastadion - it was completed in 1938. Due to the early success of the Finnish athletes in the Summer Olympic Games Finland was granted by a chance to seek the Summer Olympic Games of 1940. Helsinki lost the host-city competition for Tokyo, but due to the Second Sino-Japanese War Tokyo cancelled the hosting and the International Olympic Committee asked again if Helsinki would like to host the Games. Helsinki agreed.

During the II World War and the Global Tension - Helsinki cancelled the 1940 Summer Games after defeated in the Winter War, while still had prepared for hosting. After the WWII, maybe Tokyo should had been the first one in the hosting list and Helsinki as a second one. Well, the world didn't like the loser countries - London hosted the Summer Games in 1948, Helsinki in 1952 and Tokyo in 1964.

Finnkampen (SWE) Ruotsiottelu (FIN) SWE-FIN Athletics International is probably the oldest ongoing track and field match between certain countries. Since 1925 Sweden and Finland have competed against each others and remained in good relations. Media has been present in every Finnkampen - the games are the mostly exciting. Due to the European and the Global disagreements Finnkampen was sometimes completed without Sweden and done between Nazi Germany-Italy-Finland.

Quit antagonizing your neighbors Finn. Everyone already knows in the 19th century that through English subterfuge the European nations were manipulated to form faux border provinces with minimal contact. That they might better be controlled by global mercantilism. Finland is just one example through the Fennomen of Swedish orgin who fearing further Russian aggression borrowed a near peer dead language from the Ugric tribes of Siberia. Naturally there is the story of the English officer during the Finnish civil war when your state came into being after 67 years of dormancy. Passed on by Swedish scholars who are your true brothers and yet have always denied you direct aid. Have a nice day ;p

I'm not even sure what this means, but please keep things civil.

I'm just tired of Finns with thier fake shovelware culture pretending they are subversive toward the nations around them which could flatten their shite any second. Literally Yankee/Dixie culture is older and more complex than some Ugric Viking fantasy. Linus Torvalds is the only reason I put up with their Svirfneblin ways.
