hey! I have been playing EU for awhile and have never been able to play online over vnet or IP. After many discussions I now know its because I have a firewall that is blocking the ports that EU uses for MP. Can someone plz tell me what these ports are? I finally figured out how to foward them to my comp on the network. Someone told there were several of them but i cannot find info on this situation anywhere.

try the support forum or the multiplayer forum

I'm sure someone can helkp you there.

Welcome to this forum:)

:(

My router software only allows twelve slots for opening ports up, thus I cant open 2300-2400. Is there any other way to do it. I was able to open up port 6112 so I could host war3 games :)
I read somewhere about "forwarding all non sorted incoming packets to one IP address" This was on my routers support page. The only problem is Im on a cable modem and using dynamic spooffed IP addresses.
If anyone is a networking genius, plz explain :(

Sorry, but what is DMZ.

I have the Norton Internet Security firewall. I deactivated it and all ports are supposed to be opened, but my router also has a built in firewall and I think this blocks the ports that I need to play EU2 multiplayer.

By other games for example Empire Earth, after I allowed it to access the internet then I can play mp. I did the same with EU2 but it doesn't function.

Anyway thanks for your suggestion.

I have a netgear firewall, rt311 i think. I know i could forward all the ports/incoming packets to my ip address but i am running multiple comps on 1 cable modem and thus they have dynamic ip addesses and also my software wont let me forward all the incoming packets anyway(not an option).
