recently I made a thread about wether or not anyone thought of making a Somalian Civil war mod. But just now, I came across an article about These wars in the Congo. There were two civil wars, the second which involved 8 African nations and was called Africa's Great War. Does this sound like it would make an interesting mod?

What i would probably need help with is ai files, maybe if someone could give me a link to a map editor, maybe help with planning events as i wouldn't know where to start or how to execute them, Oh yeah, and graphics as i'm not that good at graphics. And maybe if I need them, tips on making the scenario and stuff. This mod would probably involve The first and second congo wars and maybe the end of the Rwandan civil war. And by the way, it was the deadliest conflict worldwide since World War 2.

To me, it seems like there's not enough provinces in the congo to make a good, long, challenging campaign. All the player would have to so is just take a few provinces and it'd be over. I'll probably just add a few or more provinces just to make it harder for a player playing as the Congolese Rebels to reach Kinshasa, or vice versa for the government trying to wipe out the rebels. And If i'm involving the end of the Rwandan Civil War, then there'll be at least 10 provinces instead of 1.

Thanks for the map, but what's with the picture of the Soldiers in the Truck? Not that its a big deal just wandering what its for.
 
Congo was first named zaire repulbic until the first congo war, in 1996 and 1997 after is renamed of democratic republic of congo.
