Description​

Trying to play through fully using the stock Rulers of Denmark or Western Iceland in either 1066 or 867 does not cause the First of the Crusader Kings achievement to pop, despite doing the criteria to the "T"

Steps to reproduce​

Start as either King Svend of Denmark, Jarl Isleifur of iceland in 1066, or Chieftess Audr of Vestland in 867. Continuing to be Catholic, i move forward throughout time until the Crusades become available. Then i pledge troops to that first crusade. I play through the game until the crusade is complete. No Achievement. It bears adding that no matter what time/ruler i choose, during gameplay the "First of the Crusader Kings" achievement does not show under "Possible" achievements.

I have tried uninstalling, clearing both the steamapps/common/ck3 and the documents/paradox/ck3 folder. Ck3 is on the list of apps to allow through my firewall. I then reinstalled fresh as of 7/29/2024 and verified game files. Still occurs.

King Svend 1066 - Just after first crusade ended.

I in fact just attempted the Volva achievement as well and did not get credit for it, depsite completing the decision:

It appears that the DLC achievements are visible even without purchasing DLC's. This seems unintuitive and almost caused me to quit playing until i dug around the code to see what was actually the problem

I am experiencing the same issue: First of the Crusader Kings does not fire when the conditions listed in the Paradox Wiki for Achievements:

First of the Crusader Kings
Starting as a North Germanic of any kind, participate immediately as an attacker in the first Catholic crusade

I have followed the same steps that OP described back in July 2024:

• Playing fully stock / vanilla (no mods) with all DLCs loaded, specifically Northern Lords
• Current game version is 1.14.2.2 (Traverse)
• Verified Steam game files several times so far

I've tried this in several scenarios:

• Norman William the Bastard (won the Norman Conquest) and maintained Norman culture (did not take Embrace English decision)
• King Svend of Denmark in 1066 (100% vanilla)

In both scenarios, I immediately clicked "My warriors are ready to fight" which according to multiple users on Discord is when the achievement is supposed to fire.

It's important to note that at all times during both scenarios, the First of the Crusader Kings achievement is always shown as locked, even after the "Deus Vult" event. I checked before that event, then after that event, then after immediately clicking on the "warriors ready" option. The achievement is always locked.

Please advise on how this achievement should be completed. To be honest, it's frustrating because so many players (via Discord) got this a long time ago, so they've all said "It's easy, just do X and wait for the Crusades" - but I believe something in recent DLCs may have changed this so now the achievement is locked for some reason.
