Merchant events keep triggering

There are these two event "Local Merchant Family Dominates" or something like that and "Merchant Princes Established" or something like that. Both give a technology (Local Merchant Houses & Renowned Merchant Houses respectively) and also cause me to lose 25 piety.

They would be good if they triggered only once per province, but getting Local Merchant Houses technology in a province for the fifth time and losing 25 piety every time gets a little frusturating. They sometimes eat up my piety faster than the Crusader Exceptations. :(

It would be nice if those events and also the Moneylenders event would give option to not have tech / moneylenders and perhaps losing some money or having burgher loyalty hit or something...

Near duplicate of bug 98 (which is itself a near duplicate of another bug). :D
 
Yeah, I noted that bug when going through the bug list, but that bug is about improvement and this one I talk about here is about advance. But very much same thing.
 
Are you sure about this? I know that

is broken, and I'm pretty sure I was the first to report it, but I thought my testing of

condition = { type = has_advance value = { advance = no }
showed it was working properly.
 
Well, those merchant tech tend to happen more than once for my provinces. But it also could be caused by not having the prerequisite techs for those tech given in events. For example: I get Local Merchant Houses in the event. I don't have Minor Merchant Houses discovered. Then after a while, the event giving me Local Merchant Houses happens again for the same province.
 
Fixed in 1.03.
