It has been explored in several threats on this forum that surface fleets cannot sink convoys in 1.04 (at least for the 1936 scenario - Submarines however work.) There is seemingly no way to mod this, as it is hardcoded. This is very annoying, particularly because it worked fine in Arma. Did 1.04 get beta tested before release at all? I think it desperately needs a hotfix (or an explanation how to fix it) cause the game is practically unplayable as a multiplayer game (also since we can expect that with 1.05 some things will be fixed while various others will be broken again). On top I am tired of hearing about the devs doing this as a hobby etc... You have released this as a commercial product and customers did pay for what is essentially an eight year old game. It's not a community mod! So one could at least expect things to work that have worked in previous versions of this game. Particularly for the hardcoded stuff! Please keep in mind that the game is advertised with the slogan "now completely moddable". Are you kidding me???

It's predictable what's going to happen: fleets will be fixed in 1.05 but three other things will be severely messed up because of ambitios improvement plans. All I want is a stable balanced version of AoD, but there hasn't been one yet. I'd be happy with 1.04 if the navy thing would work. Hm, let's say you'd buy a car and it turns out that it cannot drive, would you "chill"? Remember, there were days when software products came out and simply worked...

Just give it time to mature just like Hoi2 was a mess to start of with. And you can not even try to compare it with Hoi3. I catch ur drift, but remember the complexity and balance issues. Its a small company making these games you know for a very narrow audience. Im sure it will turn out great. Hoi3 i gave up on. Bought it, played it for 10 min and quit.

Well, same for me. 40 Euro burnt for nothing. And I think we're not the only ones. So one could have hoped that AoD was a better investment. But since I have been modding quite a bit I got a good idea of how lousy these games are actually designed. Of course Hoi3 even worse. Sigh. As for "balancing" or events I don't mind changing or creating them myself, what I cannot change is the hardcoded stuff.
