Help,

My game is flickering in and out pretty badly, and although the game runs fine the problem is driving me crazy. I tried to do what the previous thread about this problem instructed, but nothing I close seems to work. I am down to my bare essential programs.

I know performance issues are hard to deal with, but I don't know what to do anymore. Can anyone help?

Thank you.

Devin

[EDIT]Here is the view of my task manager processes when my game is flickering[EDIT]

I guess I should say I am running 1.3a with the hotfix.

last time it flickered for me was when I was using a video card with an inadequate power supply, when I put the old graphics card back in my computer runs it fine again,

also the flickering seems to happen more if you alt tab out of the game or something (discovered this pressing windows key accidentally instead of the ctrl key)

Yes, if you press the windows key when it loads (atleast for me) you get flickering...

mauskateer: you click f11 for a picture, go to paint (or whatever prog.), load up the picture, can be found in the hoi2 directory, and then save as JPEG and go to imageshack.us and host it.

You probably have something running in the background, MSN Messenger, MusicMatch or the like.

Also, pressing any task switching key combination is not a supported action for this game. Especially while it's still loading the game data. All sorts of nasty things can happen when you do.

Thank you, I have done as you suggested. There is now a list of my processes running at the same time as the game.

Also shut down everything that has your name beside it except Taskmanger and Explorer.

Glad we found the culprit, happy conquests. :)
