Fog on the Tyne - Or The Leofricsons - My Culpability For Their Success
A Northumbrian AAR.

Starting off as the 'Duchy of Northumbria' in 1066. Most recent beta, AI set to aggressive. Shamelessly 'inspired' by Earl Uthred's excellent Imperial Wall - read it now.
It's a dog eat dog world out there. And we want to eat your dog.
It's a dog eat dog world out there. And we want to eat your dog.
Immediate Goals:
Stay alive - Says it all really.
We want your womenfolk - Get some top quality birds for our lads, from foreign parts if neccesary. The sorts down at the Bigg Market on a Saturday night no longer cut the mustard.
Saint Edwin's dream - A Northumbrian Kingdom, independent and united, prosperous and civilised, as the basis for a new Saxon hegemony. A great idea, if we can swing it. Considering at the start of the scenario our lands have about as much economic potential as the great shit heap which they actually amount to, and we are a four province vassal of the greatest warlord in Western Europe, it remains to be seen.
Kick out the Normans - Roll up, Roll up, no Frenchmen. Nothing personal; we like your food and your wimin, we just don't want you riding 'round County Durham scaring old biddies and eating chickens whole.
Distant Goals:
Great Northern Empire - Secure for the Geordies, by hand or by brain, the full fruits of their labours. Namely, most of the British Isles, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Sod Finland though, we don't want that. The spreading of enlightenment, commerce, and Christian civilisation is clearly what Geordies do best. Besides, beating the shit out of the Norse will be adequate retribution for what they did to our monks all those centuries ago. Which was just ravenous barbarism, naturally, not at all connected with the train of our current thinking here.
Geordieland comes to Mecca - Crusades, if we can be bothered. Frankly, though, I think we'll have enough doing all of the above, nevermind bible-bashing in the outer reaches of Palestine. (It's miles away, init?)
Starting soon...
