Hey all, Cheef here, OT Forum Game's biggest GM failure with a brand new game for you all.

I will be hosting the newest iteration of World in Revolution, World in Revolution: 1900 Mk. II. WiR: 1900 Mk. I was only the third WiR, and was started over four years ago in May 2012.

This is the signup thread. Here we shall deduce who exactly will be playing each country. It's pretty straight-forward.

Before we get to that, though, I have to get through a few things.

I will only trust experienced nation game players with the GPs. This includes the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and others.

Space in the game will be limited. I plan on there only being 12 (or so) primary players, with a few more minor players if I'm feeling up to it. This will make things easier for everyone.

This game will not officially be launched for some time. It can be anywhere between a few days and up to a month (though the latter is unlikely). Do not pester me with posting the game. I will delay it out of spite.

We in the WiR Community have an IRC chatroom at #WiR_Main. If you're new and want to have a chance at playing a secondary power or some other minor power, come join the chatroom. Please choose a name that is similar to your forum name, or things will get confusing for everyone. The Main chatroom is also a general chatroom; we do anything from talk politics and current events to making fun of our stupidest players. It's very inclusive and welcoming, I promise.

Now that that is out of the way, we will determine who the Great Powers, or "GPs", will be.

The GPs in 1900, in no particular order, are as follows:

The United States of America
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland
The German Empire
The Russian Empire
The French Republic
The Austro-Hungarian Empire
The Ottoman Empire
The Kingdom of Italy

Please list your first, second, and third preferential choices in a post below.

I want to remind everyone that these countries will be reserved for WiR/NG veterans whom I trust will not throw their country down the drain. At the same time, I want this game to be a good opportunity for new and interested players to cut their teeth and get used to how WiR games generally go, if they have not previously had the opportunity to participate in one.

Once I've received a sufficient number of posts, I will plop players down in each GP slot. In the same post, I will offer up a list of selected secondary and minor powers. Players who did not receive their choice GP, along with new players, will have the opportunity to select one of these countries.

Off we go!

So even though it's only been about two hours since the OP was posted, I've seen enough applications to make a decision regarding all players of the various GPs.

The GP list and their players are as follows:

United States of America -- etranger01
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland -- Maxwell500
German Empire -- Sneakyflaps
French Republic -- Gorganslayer
Russian Empire -- Noco19
Austro-Hungarian Empire -- Dadarian
Kingdom of Italy -- jacob-Lundgren
Ottoman Empire -- Ab_Ovo

Next up are secondary powers and minor powers.

Those with full stats are as follows (in, again, no particular order):

Kingdom of Spain
Greater Japanese Empire
Kingdom of the Netherlands
Empire of the Great Qing
Kingdom of Portugal

Yes, you are reading that right. I am bumping the total player count up to 13 (thirteen) from 12 (twelve). This is both to fit in more countries that I believe are necessary/interesting, and to give a chance to participate to players who have not already gotten a spot.

Again, please leave your top 3 (three) picks in a post below if you did not get a country and still wish to play.

EDIT: I might as well do semi-stat nations here as well. These are countries that will not have a full set of stats, and will only have partial info given. They're much lighter countries (read: less relevant) than others, and will only get one order per turn. They're if you want to play but not put in a whole lot of effort. They will get shorter shares of each update.

The semi-stat nations are as follows:

Korean Empire
Principality of Bulgaria
Argentine Republic
Brazilian Republic
