ive noticed when playing that children fostered into another court seem to enter that courts line of succession, even above that lords own children.

i find this extremely irritating for a number of reasons and would like to know if theres any way to prevent fosterlings being in the line of succession of the host court?

It depends on the inheritance law of that court.

Unless the fosterlings are related to the foster-parents your example can only happen if the court has elective law.

There isn't anything you can do to prevent it, since it doesn't happen because they are fosterlings but because of their stats.
