I'm not sure if there's a message or faq that list all the current known playtime bugs or "features", but if so, I haven't found it (Though I haven't looked THAT hard.)...

I just started playing recently, and I'm currently running 1.9 of Benelux, and I noticed that there are some kind of weird behaviors going on that I'm not really expecting... (This is playing China on the Fantasia scenario.)

1) Fractions are not added in research (Actually, tenths). I put my research ledgers in the beginning to all even(20% for LT, NT, TL, Inf, $), so I'm getting 0.6 for each research, and yet it doesn't show up at all after a year's worth of research... (e.g., for TL, my monarch value is 4, and my research is 0.6. So, I would expect research completed to be 4.6 *12 = 55.2. Instead, at the end of the year I get 4 * 12 = 48)... However, when I push my research past the unit point (i.e., 1.0, 2.0, etc.), that change does get added on. Is this an intended "feature," or is this a bug?

2) Trade tariffs don't seem to be added to my treasury after each year. It always goes up by the census taxes, but that's it. (Yes, I am taking monthly change into account, but it was set a 0.0)

3) When colonizing provinces with natives, I seem to only have to send 6 colonists, and then my city automatically grows up with the natives added on. However, with no natives, I need to send 7 colonists... (Basically, if I have 500-599 people in the province, I only have to send 1 more colonist to upgrade to a city if natives are there, and 2 more if there are no natives.) Is this intended behavior?

Basically, I was wondering if there's a place that collects all these known "features" in one place, so that people doesn't have to keep answering the same questions over again.

I was also wondering if these "features" varies depending upon the scenario...

Thanks in advance,
Frank

Census taxes are the only yearly income, trade tarrifs are monthly. If it doesn't come into ur coffer by monthly income, it is going to research.

U need 601 inhabitants before natives join ur city. If there are no natives then u need 700 inhabitants to form a city.

Thanks for the info,

So, where does it show up when you bring up the monthly budget chart (Not sure if that's the right name)? Under taxes? (So, it's affected by stability also?)

Thanks,
Frank

Correct.
Probably not a bug (since if you look in the savefile you will see that all research is saved in integer values), but it shure is a bit missleading, especially in the baginning when you have a low income.

Hmmm, ok... That's what I kind of thought... Yeah, it really sucks in the beginning if you don't know about it. I personally would like to see that fixed, because I don't like micro-managing the research to try to maximize my total research, especially in the beginning. In the later parts of the game, it doesn't really matter...

Thanks to both BiB and Huszics,
