Okay I tracked down this thread that had the same problem. It is an EU2 thread handled by MrT. The same problem was reported and fixed for HOI though so give it a try.

Strange, So everything is working fine now. I guess the drivers could have been corupted, but I find that unlikely. If the problem returns your best bet is to try the lowered sound acceleration and see how that works.
