Hello everyone, recently I have gotten back into Ck3 after awhile of not playing, but I have encountered an issue where the game would completely freeze and force a hard reset of my pc. After some research, my conclusion was that I was having the same issue of many players; the windows update 24H2 had made the game bugged. However, many of these posts were from 2024 or early 2025. As I am still experiencing this issue, I inferred that it is still not fixed, but I am not certain. Is there anybody still experiencing this issue? And if not, how did you work around it? Thank you.

I see you have Windows 11 24H2; this can be the cause of this problem, it is a severely broken Windows update that has caused problems across the whole gaming - indeed computer - industry.

Some affected users have definitely seen that help them with this issue. I'd suggest you look at this step first!

Definitely worth a shot - let me know if that does help you! Note that to test it you don't actually need to use Processor Lasoo, just Affinity in Task Manager (for testing purposes anyway).
And finally, in the launcher's game settings menu switch the renderer to Vulkan.
