Yes this is about CTDs...

BUT here me out!

Yes we all get occasional CTDs that hamper play BUT...

It is January 1st, 1770 and I am playing the GC as England. Well, needless to say I am choosing the path towards the War of Independence for the United States.

Once it reaches January 3rd EVERY TIME I get a CTD. I can't even finish my game. It is the farthest I have ever gotten in this game and just as the fun War of Independence is brewing I CAN'T PLAY IT!

Do I need more memory? Faster CPU?

Computer Specs:
PIII 800 mhz
256 MB PC133 RAM
Windows 2000

ANY help ASAP would be appreciated!

EDIT:

Apparently it will be fixed in 1.03 but I would still like to have your game to be sure...

Ok, got your game and it's running fine here. You will have some fun with the rebels however :D

try the suggestions here.

You might be able to work-around the problem.
 
Edit the saved game file to a few days after the crash.
