Hey, i was just wondering if anyone is interested in a Friday night game. I live in Eastern Standard Time. If anyone is interested just post here :D

Countires so far:
USA: Longstreet
France:
Prussia:
Russia:
UK:
Ottomans:
Austro-Hungary:
depending on amount of players
Sweden:
Italy:
Japan:

I'd like to play as the USA, but i am flexible. Also, i would like to have a all the major countries full so, we can have a really good game :)

A regular game starting when we have enough players. Kinda like the old Friday night game.

i really shouldn't be getting involved in a long term game right away, since i only have a few weeks until Uni. starts up again, but i'll see what happens, i definetly have time to play the next few weeks though.

I'd consider playing Japan, which i haven't done since 1.01, the Ottomans, or perhaps USA (for a slightly larger challenge). i intend to do a little single player gaming as one of those nations as soon as my last exams are done tomorrow (spent part of saturday and most of sunday re-reading history texts to refresh my memory), and i'll see what i'm able to do with 1.03c (i won't play with a big nation in an MP game if i can't do reasonably well with it and provide a challenge/valuable addition to my fellow players)

IIRC Friday night USA does mean Europe early morning? If thats the caase I am in :) Now I want to know the time and well need some other players and we are ready to go :)

I resent that! Russia was a peaceful & cuddly teddy bear the first 95% of that game :rofl: In fact, I'd be glad to play Russia again and prove to everyone just how cuddly the Bear can be.

the world can never take that chance again...

i think Bhutan would be a safe country for a player of your calibre, then the rest of us newbies would have a chance...
 
You didnt see my Russia in G&D :)

I had a ind score of more then 10000 after the first 15 years ;)

And that was without taking any asian country...

Because I followed that self implemented rule :)

But well, no-one did answer my question yet... What time EST or GMT or whatever does friday night mean, as I would really like to join
 
Friday Night would be anytime from 6:00 EST onwards or so... since anything before 6 is technically considered the afternoon.

i can't convert between EST and GMT, but some people posted links before to sites that you could use to do that...
 
If you play France I'll be Prussia, that will be the gentlest way to get introduced to Vicky MP I think. When's the game? This week, next week? Time?
 
We can either start this Friday or next Friday, depending on the amount of players available.

I'll update my first post with the county list. If you have not picked one, pick :D

Oh Marius, there is no point playing a small nation unless we have alot of other players to fill in the important European nations.
 
Only provided France doesn't ally with Russia/OE to counter that and at worst insure Austrian neutrality, at best bring them into the alliance with promises of a phony war in the north (Prussia busy with Russia) and nice gains in Italy.

You're right, any nation can be made into a rump state given a damaging enough war but simultaneously you have to remember that diplomacy is almost the most important side of MP Vicky.
 
Can I be Brazil?

I'd love to join you guys, but I've never played in MP. So I'm a newb

Can I play as Brazil and just experience all a multiplayer game without getting annilated? :eek:

I have a cable connection so I won't lag you fellows and 6 on Friday is a good time
 
I'm always against people wanting to try MP and so playing a marginal nation, they just lag the game needlessly. You're welcome to join us, but play a nation that matters please.

So after reading from the previous post, it said you were a cute and warm Russian Bear... Well I ain't certainly going to be Austria Hungary or the Ottoman Empire! I'll get eaten alive :eek:

becoming the dictator of this game already? shouldn't you save those comments for Longstreet, since he's starting this friday night game? let him decide which nations should be playable and which shouldn't, its his game thread after all

i don't see why a brazil that rampaged through SA unifying the whole continent couldn't become a nation that matters RIGHT QUICK...

edit: you'll note that Longstreet specifically suggested a japan player if there were enough players... so i don't see why you'd shoot down his Brazil nation choice immediately... good way to drive new players away imho
