My uncle who works at Tinto told me that the announcement will happen immediately after the Britain and Ireland map feedback. So keep asking about the map feedback so the devs get tired of us and they relent in releasing Britain and Ireland (and thus the announcement) soon. Hope this helps!

My cousin is the cleaner at the Tinto Studio and she saw a folder file with a label "April Announcement". She would have opened it to see the release date but she heard Johan coming back from the beach siesta and could not open it.

She knows she will now be fired but she said It is a price worth paying for seeing this community happy and giving us good news.

My friend from high school works as a dog guarding Tinto Villa and he told me recently that he sniffed a lot of surströmming Johan brought there for the announcement fiesta. It has to be eaten soon, or it will spoil and taste bad, so the announcement this month is almost certain.

They will show her that in that folder, there is actually only an "AprilFools" picture. She can be grateful that she only loses her job, finding the real date would have had more....dire consequences.

They will announce it on Resurrection Sunday. Jesus rose from the dead and so will this game.

Trust guys, it will be glorious.

It is written
I think I'll stick with the Cathar doctrine of denying the resurrection as Jesus did not die on the cross.

I actually visited the Tinto Villa... well, while I was there, Johan let me into his office. By pure chance as he was in the bathroom, I saw a sticky note on his desk with the exact date and time for the announcement. So I am pleased to let you all know finally that the official announcement will be on:

From recent statements made by Ludi, it seems like a bunch of content creators already have early access to EU5 on their personal computers at home. This is quite interesting and unprecedented, as from what I can recall, past paradox games only had content creators releasing videos about the game around a week or so before release. From the things Ludi has been saying, it would almost seem like videos will begin coming out from the day the game is announced.

In my mind, this really seems to shorten the window between announcement and release. Initially I would have banked on 5-6 months, but I also find it unlikely that paradox would just dish out content creator access for such a lengthy period of time before release.

I wonder if we could have a situation where we get some sort of announcement in May and a release in August? The fact that CCs have full access already is really sticking out to me.

I don't understand why some of you seem to think that inviting CCs to play early versions of the game is so weird and out there - how is it any weirder than them collecting feedback from the forums for over a year? You seem to view Paradox as this uptight suit-corporate company like EA where cooperation with CCs and the community is nothing but marketing in the latest stages of development. Why can't they involve CCs well ahead of release, like 1 year ahead?

This. It seems to me that with the starting of Tinto Talks they really wanted to start getting feedback early so they can add, change or remove design concepts before going to much in the wrong direction. My thought about this is that the CCs are simply another step of feedback collecting, since they are way more on the user side, compared to those who are making the game and testing it in the meantime. They are arguably experienced players, and will probably find flaws, or the "meta" which the developers would like to avoid if I understood correctly. I understand the hype that came with the CC posts from Spain, but I also think that it's gonna be at least months before we se announcement or gameplay. They just started to share detailed mechanics with the catholic church which is the first of many and also we have only seen 13 country flavors so far. If they announce the game when, let's say when half of them are shown already, even that is about 20 weeks away.
