For people wondering about the NDA: pdx used to be infamous for having very harsh ones, and I see no reason that would have changed. Assume anything we can imagine is part of it, and lots of stuff we can't imagine as well.
Are they publicly available, the NDA does not prohibit the publication of the NDA, or someone has broken it and published it anyway?

We've also had the third of four feedback tinto talks last week, and just finished a big steam discount.
This. The next TT will probably be the last. They got all the feedbacks they needed (gameplaywise) and are showing the results of it.
The game will have a proper name by mid april and hopefully some video content.

What are your expectations from the announcement, when ever it may come?

Mine would be:
- Official name
- Logo
- Teaser trailer
And cherry on top would be:
- 3D map
- First full screen shots of the game so we can finally see UI

I don't expect them to give us release date or even release window, or open preorders or anything like that..

i expect it to be released

I think the game will almost certainly come out this year. The CEO hinted at "new games releasing that are more firmly on our home turf" in 2025, and additionally EU5 has been in the oven for FIVE years as of April, if I'm not mistaken. That's no short dev cycle. On top of that, they ceased all EU4 DLC in early 2024, and if they didn't plan to release EU5 in 2025, then I doubt they'd have cut off the cash flow of new content from their #2 franchise in terms of playerbase.

Furthermore, I do recall that in a fairly recent press availability in late 2024, Paradox higher-ups expressed a desire to announce games much closer to a release.

Because of all this, I think that we will get an announcement on the week following next. To bet on dates, I'd say between April 7-9. I think this final Tinto Talks on improvements/overhauls made since the start ties up the bow nicely for the "Tinto Talks", and that April 9th will be when it's now out in the open with proper "EU5 Dev Diaries" instead of "Talks" (though the Tinto Talks have certainly been full dev diaries). With the announcement, I think that we'll get a release date for October or November 2025, along with preorders available right away, instead of the "It's ready when it's ready sometime in the future" of previous days.

I know this doesn't follow the "trend" of Vic3, CK3, etc. however I'd also argue that nothing about Project Caesar has followed past paradox development trends, so I don't see why we'd expect it to follow older paradox releases in this regard, either.

oh are we getting a Tinto Map Feedback post tomorrow? I must have missed the announcement while drunk in Sitges :p

all jokes aside, his comments are all 100% pdx approved. this is 100% part of the "hints" about a release. and as someone earlier in the thread said, would they really invite these content creators and show them/let them test eu5 and then not let them talk about it for 2-3 weeks? doubt it... next week 100% will be annoucements.

i have seen other game releases (latest being the dune rpg), where they flew a bunch of youtubers to norway to test the game for the weekend, then when they returned they shared their impressions etc as a way to hype the game. this was 2-3 weeks ago, and dune will be released early summer 2025 i think.

I doubt they have ever done it. If they only wanted them to test the game it wouldve been done in secret online. They have invited in person and allowed them to let people know they were all in Sitges. If they had no intention of announcing any time soon, they would have done it online and kept it ultra secret. As you said, they would (and never had done before) let youtubers try the game and then carry on for months like they havent tried the game while posting videos covering YouTube videos covering dev diaries. Pdx would not risk them slipping up which could easily happen subconciously when comenting on something you know about pretending you dont. So yeah it must be close.

Summer...Man I wish. But I doubt it will be ready by then. I think they have quite a few months of balance and UI work ahead of them #Hopium.

I hope the game doesn't release this year.

Hear me out, as I've been rather enjoying the discussions we've been having on yhis forum. ❤️

I also hope that the people at Tinto won't have to hunker down, work over-time and burn the candle at both ends just because investors expect a release before the end of 2025 Q4 just to make the books look good.

I wouldn't mind a beta release format before the end of the year and allow for more polish without burning anyone out as well as create a period of hands-on feedback from the community before a full release. That'd be very much in the spirit of Tinto talks as well.

Regardless of what happens, I thank you all for the most interesting times I had on this forum. ☺️
