Did you install your game in the default path ? So in C:/program files

If so, then do a complete reinstallation but this time do NOT install the game in C:/program files but in C:/games f.e.

okai will try that...

Have tryed copying the game folder over to my laptop that runs on XP sp2, and there it works.. So I would think it had something to do with the vista pc.. but will try a reinstall in a different folder.

Are you using any mods?
Did you install DV on top of CK?
Can you try it without the 2.1 beta (reinstall DV)?
No mods, installed the CK path and then DV.. Sure thing, am however getting off from work pretty late, so will first be able to do it tomorrow.

But the really weird thing is that I was able to just copy paste the crusader game folder directly to my laptop running with XP, and there it ran just fine.. So couldnt it just be that nasty vista ruining my games?

If so, it's exclusive to the 64-Bit version. I'm on Vista 32-Bit.

I can confirm that CK with DV runs just fine on Vista 64 bit.

Please try the following

1. Uninstall DV
2. Uninstall CK
3. Turn off UAC in Vista. Here is how. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/wind...nt-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/
4. Make sure you are the administrator on the machine.
5. Make sure no folders/files related to CK/DV exist.
6. Reinstall CK. Install OUTSIDE of C:\Program Files... like C:\Games
7. Install DV on top of the CK folder.
8. Install DV Patch 2.1
9. Rename AVI folder to AVIBack.
10. Go into the settings.txt file and make sure the resolution there matches what your video card/monitor can support. When in doubt set it to 1024 X 768 refresh 60.

hey... Now it works :) Really many thanks :)

Still got a somewhat small problem... I got some error when entering the game about some gfx's files not being able to load or not being recogniced, or something like that :(

I wasnt able to look into the settings file since it couldnt locate it (where is it??) could it has something to do with that?
