Game Crash on Launch,

I have owned Crusader Kings II for some time now, but have only recently tried playing a serious game. A few minutes in, I began experiencing random crashes. They weren't simply crashing to desktop, but logging me out of Steam. Crashes became more frequent, and now I cannot even open the launcher.

I am not subscribed to any items on the Steam workshop, and have tried validating the game files to no avail. Trying to launch from the executable does not help, either. From this crash log, is it obvious what the issue is, and what I could do to resolve it?

Does this also affect HOI4?

What antivirus app do you use? Add ck2game.exe to its Exceptions list.

Probably an update to your AV app, I’d say.
