Game crashed. data lost. Can launch the game buttons are nonreactive

Ive posted on Steam, sent mail to tech support here etc with no feedback yet.
I played the game for a short bit , 2 hours maybe. When I came back to play all my data was lost. I could launch the game but there is no sound and anywhere i navigate seems to be unresponsive. See video >>>>

you can also see where gold should be are some weird characters. If I click magazine it get a spinning hourglass.
I have uninstalled , reinstalled, system reboot. cleaned the pc for KoPP2 traces. Installed on my main drive and tried on my secondary. Still the same issue. All drivers are up to date, system by far exceeds requirements for the game.
I would like to know if this is being looked into or if others are having the same issues? I paid for a game to play that is unplayable at the moment, should I just get a refund and forget about it? Any direction would be appreciated!

Got some questions for you that might help us figure out what is wrong.

- In which expansion were your save games created
- Have you updated the game on Steam to the latest version?

Could you please test the following.

1. Back up all your saves. You can find them here: C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Kyy Games\Knights of Pen and Paper 2

2. then delete all *.sav files in that folder and re-launch the updated version of the game to see if that solves your issues.

I had this same issue on android. It seems fixed but now I lost all my game info? Is there a fix for this yet?

Similar symptoms for myself on android. Phone unfortunately ran out of battery mid game, upon going back on the application the menu seems to be broken.

Play and Game Room buttons are disabled. Sound is off.

Upon clicking on settings, the settings menu comes up, and sound turns on. However, if you notice I now have gamepad tooltips?

Just popping this in here as I was really enjoying my game!
