  • Crusader Kings II
I know this issue has been posted before but after almost an hour of searching I cannot find an answer. After Steam installed the latest patch (1.05e) the game crashes randomly with the message "Crusader Kings II has stopped working". I love this game but now it is essentially unplayable. Could someone please point me to where this question has been answered.

Thanks.

Not being a PC expert how does one verify cache integrity?
It's a Steam thing, not a PC thing. In your Steam client go to the library, CK2, properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache.

If that doesn't help I'd suggest a full clean reinstall. uninstall the game from Steam and move any valued save games elsewhere. Manually delete the CK2 directories from under the Steam AND MyDocuments folders, now reinstall the game via Steam.
