As the title says, on the menu where we choose learn to play or sandbox mode, whenever I start game, before coutnry selection window comes, it crashes and returns to Desktop after 3-4 seconds., I would be very grateful if anyone can help me.

Specs:
- Windows 10 64-bit
- Geforce GTX 1050ti
- Intel Core i7 7700HQ
- 16 GB RAM

Game Version: 1.5.10

Note: There is also another problem with my computer where I can't update my graphic driver above version 527.56 since if I update a higher version, I start getting blue screen VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE errors on most of the games I try to play (Which Victoria3 is one of them) but I dont think that is a problem because when game first came out, I could play without any problems and at that time, my graphic driver was an older version than 527.56.

I could play at version 1.1.2 last year so I made a rollback to that version and I can play without any problems. Problem occurs when I try to play on most recent version

This is almost certainly a hardware fault, likely on the nVidia card itself. Have you contacted their support on that?

My guess is recent game patches are using a function in the nVidia driver or card that triggers this problem.

I have contacted them before but we couldn't fix that problem. Either I was gonna buy a new laptop or keep using outdated driver. I don't think it is related to graphic driver because every other game works fine with my outdated driver, even Elden Ring but of course I get like 10-20 fps. EU4 and HOI4 also works fine. I run a memory test, hdd health check and couldn't find any problem.

Well, as I say, the hardware issue looks to be in the video system so no, those tests won't find anything.

Do you perhaps have access to some other supported video card you can swap in, even temporarily, as a test?

I can't change my graphic card since I am using a laptop. I tried to run game using integrated GPU (Intel HD Graphics 630) but couldn't even get to main menu, got stuck on loading screen

Hmmm. How about an eGPU or a service like GeForce Now? I know we are talking some money here, but I can't think of any other test!

That said I'm a bit surprised nVidia support couldn't or wouldn't help you.
