  • King Arthur II
Hi,

I was trying everything to launch the first campaign ingame but so far nothing works:

- Reinstalling DX.
- Drivers update.
- Cache verification.
- Trying many differents resolution and video configurations.

However the scenary mode works perfectly. The crash message during loading screen says:

AppName: coretech2_x86.exe
Appver:1.0.0.1
Modname : msvcr90.dll
Modver: 9.0.30729.4148
Offset: 00058289

My Dxdiag says:

Same issue. I've also tried reinstalling the game, setting graphics to minimum, using dx9, running as admin, with vista and xp compatibility... nothing seems to work. Steam version.

EDIT: Solution found, but not thanks to the support from Paradox... just change the game language in steam game properties to english, it will download some data and now it works.
I just saw all of us were using Spanish language on windows, so that was the problem, it seems like KA2 only supports english.

Have tried also on my 1280x720 TV via HDMI. No difference at all.
Do you own Dead Legions Prologue chapter? Because I don't and main campaign has been reported to have worse performance

Confirmed.
The game crash with the Spanish version (At least in Steam).

Edit:
The problem seems to be on strings translation files. In particular the file Lang_Artifacts.xml makes the game crash.
In addition, seems to be missing several translation files. Installing the Spanish version and replacing that file does not show many texts, and voices of prologue do not sound, but the game works.

Thank you very much guys!!!.

PARADOX King Arthur II support team is a *%#!!!!. They dont reply my posts or emails and also my IP is banned (im spanish but living in China now) and is impossible contact with them!!. I am using a friend connection to write this post. May be this guys has been fired and its the reason dont reply...anyway I'll remember for further purchases and will send a nice email to STEAM describing the professionalism of this provider.

You guys realize that King Arthur II is supported by Neocore, not Paradox? Gee... don't get a heart attack, especially not when you're making wrong assumptions...

I did contact the mod staff on this forum and they told me they'd find a solution for the lack of contact with Neocore. Give em a few days, will ya?

While I can understand they aren't in charge of the support, they are still responsible from the support it's given, aren't they?
Anyway, I hope they will solve any trouble with the support team because it gives a really bad image of them.
