If you are running into troubles with Cities in Motion (in-game crashes, or game not starting), first make sure that:
- your rig Hardware specs are above the standard requirements.
OS: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7, OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3, or later
Processor: 2 GHz Dual Core or higher
Memory: 2GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 2GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800/ATI Radeon HD 3850 or higher with 512 MB RAM, OpenGL 3.0
*Intel-integrated graphic cards are not supported
- you have updated your Graphics driver to the latest version from your manufacturer website
Also, if you have a laptop with two graphic cards, make sure that you are not using the integrated one.
If you are not out of troubles yet, it is a good time to report your problem on the forums.
When you do so, we are very thanksful if you provide us with:
- an accurate description of the problem
i.e at what point does it crash, does it happen everytime, what do you see...
- your hardware specifications
CPU, RAM, Graphics card and video memory and Operating System
- the content of log_metro.txt which you can find
- on Windows, in your User document folder in the sub-folder Cities in Motion (C:\Users\*username*\Documents\Cities In Motion)
- on Mac, in /Users/*username*/Library/Application Support/Cities in Motion
- any information the system reports when the crash happens
