Hi there,

First of all, love this game.


I'm having a problem though with multiplayer game, it very often crashes when it is auto-saving (or saving). No error message or anything is just exits straight back to windows. Happens usually during first auto-save but sometimes randomly after 1-12 months.

I'm playing with a friend and we both bought it on steam. Some other facts:
- Version 1.02 (upper right corner) on both clients, actually all below are identical on both clients
- Checksum identical (KPNA)
- Windows 7
- Windows firewall turned off
- LAN game connection sets up fine
- INTERNET game connection sets up fine
- Runs as administrator
- installed at c:\game
- Single player works perfectly fine.
- Doesnt matter who's hosting

Any ideas ? Is there a crash log somewhere ?

Same Problem with autosave here or if we want to save after first 2 months in the game. The Problem is only in the 33er not in the 36er scenario.

I'll need more information on this one.
Is it easily reproducible?
Any steps I should follow?
Can you reproduce it on one computer (running 2 instances of the game) too?
Is that happen in 1933 scenario only for sure?

It is easily reproducible. But it is only in the 33er Scen. We (10 Players) test it this week. We wanted to play the 33er after 2 good rounds with the 36er.
A long play isn´t necessary. All majors were played by humans and after the first 1-2 months (mostly it was after the first month 01.04.33) when the autosave comes it crashes the host. Most clients have also ctd as they wanted to save. 1 client could save but the savegame was defect and crashes in the loading screen. Also we test it with only 6 Players with autosave on/off and it crashes also every time after the first months (also ctd with manually saves). I believe it could be an "event-chain" from a major. After this we test the 36er with this 10 Players and all was ok (played 6 month with speed normal)

this problem existed from time to time. It is new, and didn't happen in HoI2 MP.
We experienced it twice at first DH 1.02 session with 12 players - 1936 scenario.
First was at 01.01.36 at evening, someone dropped and then all crashed when they were tried to save, except couple of people. And once we got it in Dec 36. At rest of time we normally saved.

I checked the save of one of problems, it saves a bit over 1 Mbytes (for all, who crashed trying to save). It breaks at Portugal. Below is end of file:
