I am playing a game as Eubornes or however you spell it. Anyhow, my empire streches from northern Rome to England with over 40 provinces. Unfortunately, every time I hit Jan 20th 549, my game crashes. I get "Rome has stopped working".

Below is the attached log. I have tried it in different mapmodes, different speeds, and have updated my video drivers to the most recent as of May 21st 2010. My card is an Nvidia 8600GT.

I'm assuming the game is to blame as this happens the same day.
Code:

Any help would be appreciated as I have spent alot of time on this campaign and would rather not lose it. I can also attach the savegame if requested.

Oh and this crashed the same day with 2.2 and also the beta patch. I have Vae Victis.

Yes I read through the whole thing and I did find that it was a non existant country in the save file. However upon adding a culture and whatnot, I only bought myself a month more of gametime before another crash. This is sad that they don't seem to be doing anything to fix this issue. Oh well. EU:Rome uninstalled for now.

Have you patched to 2.2? What about the beta 2.3? It sounds like an oddly specific bug.

Please run DXDIAG, Save All Info, and post dxdiag.txt here (first delete everything after the Sound Devices section so it will fit). Also post your Rome/settings.txt and Rome/logs/system.log files. Note that if you use Vista/Win7 and have installed the game in the suggested folder c:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Rome\, the active versions of these last two files will have been redirected by Vista/win7 to a non-system directory, like c:\Users\[name]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis - Rome\, where [name] is your Vista/Win7 user name. You may have to search your C: drive for them.
