EU-Rome patched & VV patched to latest version. Have done test install's on more than one PC & two laptops.

I mean it's not a huge problem, because I'm exiting. Does anyone else have this happen and or have suggestions?

It happens to me sometimes (not very often though)
I prefer to think of it as a neat sevice provided by paradox to make my life just a tad easier

Hmmm,

Well, I've now tried it on three XP Pro machines, one IBM T43p, one IBM T61 & my gaming machine which is a Dell XPS.

Same error on all three, so we know it's not system specific.

The IBM Thinkpad T43p with ATI FireGL V3200 really runs the game well. As long as I don't exit :p

Rome crashes on exit for me too. I have the Steam version (which is EU: Rome - Vae Victis v2.1) and every single time I exit it crashes or freezes.

When it freezes I have to ALT+TAB out of the game and press "Close Program" on the "Rome has stopped responding" dialog (I have vista).

Please get this fixed! It's really annoying!

Oh and if you do release a patch to fix it, make sure to send it to Valve so they can update the Steam versions! It took 7 months for EU3 - Complete to be upgraded to 3.1 because I assume you never sent them the patch! be quicker this time please guys!

I'm not particularly bothered by it since it isn't crashing mid-game, but would be nice if that was resolved.

Why would you assume that? In fact it was Steam who were responsible for almost all that delay.
