I have a technical problem that I need your help with please. I not very computer literate so I apologise for any mistakes in the following information.

Game Version & Patch:
Hearts of Iron 2 Anthology, Patch 1.3 beta 2

OS & build/SP:
Windows 7 Starter 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601)

Computer, CPU & speed:
ASUS EeePC 1015PX, Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N570 @ 1.66GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.GHz

RAM:
1 GB

Free HDD space:
36.1 GB

Video:
Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, Main driver igdumdx32.dll, Approx. Total Memory 251MB

DirectX Version:
DirectX 11

I read the stickies but I still have the following problem:
My game crashes shortly after it autosaves, but I can load the autosave and continue for another month until it crashes again. I'm not sure if it is to do with the large quantity of units in the game, and these started just as I was lauching a major offensive in North America. I also have "Database mismatches" popping up (But these came up before the crashes and I have looked in to these and found out that they are just an inconvenience). I don't know what other details I should give.

Have you tried loading in at a later start date when more units are on the map (I haven't played Hoi2 in ages but i seem to recall there are later stardates ?) then see if the crashes occur on the monthly autosaves then? That -Might- narrow it down to just that save file and game or a problem with the autosave feature itself.

I have checked the numbers of the units of the 1944 scenario start point and my game (1936 scenario at 22nd June 1949), my game has 2100 more units than the 1944 scenario, but the quantity of units in my game has hovered around 5000 since 1948 and it was fine then. I have also changed when the game autosaves, and it crashed 20 odd days in to the month. And I forgot to mention that Hearts of Iron crashes on exiting this particular game.

Is HoI installed in your program folder on the C drive? If so you shouldn´t do that using Windows 7.

Do you have any programs running in the background while running HoI? If so close them all.

Did you try to run HoI 2 in Windows XP compatibility mode of Windows 7?
