In my game as the USA, starting around August 3, 1944, a bug arose in which the game crashed to desktop whenever I tried to open my own diplomacy menu. this followed a massive annexation of the UK (don't ask) and an equally massive releasing of puppet nations- all that I could release, in fact. This probelm does not occur when I interact diplomatically with other nations; however, if I try to access my own menu from another nation's menu, the game still crashes.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is it covered in the 1.1 patch? If not, have you found a way to fix it? Any help would be appreciated.

Only problems you have with a game started under the current patch are supported, for obvious reasons.
Your question implies you are running 1.0, please upgrade to 1.1.
