Game crashes when starting up after 'Map Initialized Successfully'

Have you tried any other "graphics heavy" games? Do they run? Your system specs look fine though.

I run games like armed Assault and Supreme Commander on the computer regularly. I've never monitored how they fare in terms of system resources so I don't know how they compare to Rome. I'll try tinkering with Rome from time to time and see how I go.

supreme commander gobbles up most computers and is prob more intensive than Rome (at least running dual screens was tough on my home computer that has absolutely no problems with Rome), so its probably not overheating or anything like that then.
